ZURICH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT "UNIQUE"
Location
Zurich airport is one of the major airports in Switzerland and is located 12 km north of Zurich. There are two terminals, which are connected internally on three levels. Zurich airport serves many national and international flights and the number of passengers who travel through this airport annually exceeds twenty million.

Transportation
by car
The airport is located in the centre of the Swiss road network with easy connections to small and large cities like Zurich,Bern, Basel and St. Gallen on the A20 motorway.
by bus
There are eleven bus lines, which depart every 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes and travel to Zurich centre and the region surrounding the airport, including Zurich-Oerlikon, Glattel and Winterthurt. The bu stop can be reached through the Shopping Centre and is set behind car parks 2 and 3. To take early buses to the airport contact phone: (0)52 728 0811 from Shaffhausen and Constance and phone: (0)31 985 1313 for buses from Berne. There are several regular bus lines, which serve regional cities and villages.
Hotel Courtesy Buses
A number of hotels in Zurich downtown and the airport offer their own shutttle service free to the guests of the hotel. Hotel courtesy buses start their trip in front of Arrivals Halls 1 and 2.
by rail
There is a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B. Trains leave every 10 minutes to the main station in Zurich. A ticket for CHF 10.80 allows you to travel unlimited time to and from the airport and in Zurich. There are many regional and intercity trains, which travel to towns and cities like Berne, Basel, Luzerne, St. Gallen, Zug, Lausanne,Constance and Geneva. by taxi
Taxis are available in front of Arrival Halls 1 and 2. If you wish, you may pre-book an aiport taxi at 0848 850 852. Taxis drive from the airport to the centre of Zurich for about 15 minutes and the price is about CHF 50. Before going on a journey, be sure of the taxi fare.

Parking
Three covered parks next to the terminals and another car park a short distance away serve Zurich Airport. There is an open-air car park P60, which provides long-term parking and is connected to the airport by bus. Valet parking services are also available.

Information points: Welcome Information Desks are located in the Arrivals Halls of terminals 1 and 2 and in the new check-in area No.3. Throughout the airport are located FASTpoint terminals, which provide information on services and aiport facilities, such as flight and train schedules, directories and maps, shops, bars, restaurants,porters, assistance for the disabled, medical services, baby and children facilities and many more.
ourist offices: There are tourist offices of many national and international tour operators in the airport.

Money services: There are a number of banks, which provide money exchange services.
Communcations: There is a post office and nine Fast point terminals, which provide phone, fax and photocopying facilities. Wireless Internet is provided to business travellers.
Arrive in Zurich, collect your rental car, and off you go: it can hardly be more convenient than that.
Luggage: A lost property office deals with Swiss enquires. Porter service is available, also lckers and trolleys free of charge. A left luggage desk may be found in Terminal 1 Arrivals.
Eating, drinking and shopping: There are a number of restaurants, coffee bars, snack bars and take-away food. There is an Airport Shopping Centre, which is loated one level above check-in. there are more than 60 stores including: Migors, Blume 3000, Swatch, Swisscom, Steiner's aiport bakery, Navyboot, Orange, Sunrise, Lollipop, Buchairshop, watches, jewelry and fashion items.
Conference and Business Facilities: There is a Unique Conference Centre (0)43 816 3422), which has 36 rooms with varying size that can accommodate up to 120 delegates. There are facilities for business seminars, conferences and meetings, the conference centre offers at the reception desk photocopier, telephone booths, fax machine, secretarial services, interpreting and flight and hotel reservations. Function rooms offer the most modern conference technoology andis located eight floors up and provides faboulous views of the airport. There is a large screen video, TV projection and comprehensive media conference systems.
Airlines Served: The airport serves the flights of all major and minor national and international air companies. The airport txes are usually included in the price of the ticket.
