One day outside Amsterdam. Destinations outside Amsterdam
 Aalsmeer, Delft and Rotterdam
The tour commences with a
visit to the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the largest flower market in the
world situated only a short distance of Amsterdam,
where millions of flowers and plants are bought and sold every day of
the working week. Next you will reach a historic town of Delft, which
retains brilliantly preserved medieval houses and cathedrals. A number
of streets in the heart of the city have tree-lined canals. Historical
buildings include the City Hall, the Prinsenhof Museum, Oude Kerk (Old
Church) as well as Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). Delft is also well known
for Delft pottery ceramic, so if you revel in shopping you can obtain
typical blue and white pottery objects, especially tiles. Leaving
Delft, you will arrive at Rotterdam, which lives on the shipping
industry. The tour of the world's largest harbour should encompass a
view of the city and the surrounding area from the top of the Euromast.
The Boijmans Van Beuningen is arguably the best-known of Rotterdam's
museums, but the Rotterdam Maritime Museum, the Kunsthal (Art Hall) and
the Rotterdam Historical Museum are equally engrossing.
 The Hague, Madurodam and Schveningen
Binnenhof is one of the most important places in The Hague,
since it was here that some of the weighty events in Dutch took place.
The political life of the country is still centered in the several
buildings (Houses of Parliament) that form Binnenhof. Tourists can also
pay a visit to the Peace Palace, which is the seat of the International
Court of Justice, the principal judiciary organ of the United Nations.
The famous miniature town of Madurodam, frequently dubbed as "Holland
in a Nutshell", is situated on the outskirts of The Hague. It is a
tremendous hit with kids and adults likewise. Visitors come here to
wander around and explore reproductions of eminent Dutch buildings, monuments and bridges. On your way back to Amsterdam,
why not visit the beautiful North Sea resort of Schveningen just for a
short while? Schveningen is a modern bathing resort with an extended
sandy beach, a broad promenade and a renovated pier.
 Zanse Schans i Volendam
At the beginning of this excursion you will get the opportunity to see the 'typically Dutch's
landscape. Zaanse Schans is an old neighbourhood with antiquated
stores, houses made of wood and widmills. There is also a wooden shoe
factory here if you would like to have a look at how clogs are produced
in a traditional fashion. Then you can move on to the world-famous
fishing villages Marken and Volendam. Your last stop will be a cheese
factory where everyone can taste some of the Netherlands' well-liked
types, such as Edam and Gouda.
