The Hotel Helvetia is housed in an historical building in the heart of Genoa, in the central Piazza della Nunziata. From here it's only 200m to the Porto Antico, with its Aquarium, shopping area, and congress centre. The Opera Carlo Felice and the Palazzo Ducale are only 5 minutes walk away, and it has easy access to both main railway stations and to the airport.
The rooms are soundproofed and simply furnished,with cool clean ceramic flooring. They are all equipped with telephone, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, hair-dryer and some have phone jacks for PC and internet connections. All bedrooms have a bathroom en-suite with shower (no bathtub) and WC.
A generous cold buffet breakfast with hot beverages is included in the price, served in the sunny breakfast room, looking on to the Piazza della Nunziata.The Hotel Helvetia also offers garaging services 20 meters from the building at a cost of 13 per day.
