Geographic region of Ogliastra considered the main entrance of  "Cannonau streets"and ancient cellars of red wine. This region offers famous areas for free climbing with international trails planned by mountain climbers. Reaching the near ghost-villages like Osini and Gairo Vecchio you will drop in the past to visit abandoned houses during the flood in 1952, in a good state of conservation. Into the other Gairo (Tacquisara) there is a picturesque railway-station from where in the summer months, The ancient steam-train (TRENINO VERDE),leaves and travels along a panoramic tour in the Sardinian island.
