Ansteys Lea used to be a private residence and about 60 years ago it was transformed into a charming small hotel, as it remained till nowadays. The Victorian style house features 24 bedrooms, tastefully decorated with personal attention to every detail. The property is located in between of Torquay downtown, the marina and the superb panorama of the Babbacombe Downs. Speaking of views, there is nothing like the magnificent Victorian bay window, which overlooks the palms of Torbay. The hotel dining room and loounge are such of style and tradition - it keeps the original Victorian ceiling with its roses and exhibits several paintings - originally signed! You can also choose the smaller dining room - it has a romantic light system and a very sweet atmosphere. The overall interior is simply romantic, but this dreamy ambiance is even stronger in the lovely garden and the patio.
