The ninth annual Travel Photographer of the Year competition saw thousands of entries from around the globe, with European photographers bringing their A-game in all award fields. The Young Travel Photographer of the Year award went to 17-year-old German photographer Arne Hansen for his portfolio on how human travel effects the Earth. Also awarded was Britain's Joel Biddle in the 'green' theme, while Sergey Anisimov from Russia won the main 'Cultures & Traditions' prize for his evocative images across nations.
