About Bouillon
Located in Belgium’s southernmost province of Luxembourg, Bouillon is a small town of about 5,000 inhabitants on the Semois River, most notable for its very old castle, probably dating back to Gallo-Roman times, which Godfrey of Bouillon famously sold to the Bishop of Liege in 1082 to finance his participation in the First Crusade. Dominated by the impressive castle and surrounded by the wooded heights of the Ardennes, the town is a popular resort and a starting point for excursions into the beautiful countryside. The river offers ample opportunity for water sports.
