About Spa
Spa is situated in the province of Liège, in the French-speaking part of Belgium. Its picturesque location in a romantic valley at the feet of the Ardennes and the presence of the hot water springs made it an immensely popular resort as early as the 14th Century. With time, the name of this little town came to be used worldwide in reference to any place possessing healing hot mineral springs. Today, Spa is also known as the home of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, where the annual Belgian Grand Prix of Formula One takes place.
