About Albena
Albena is a famous summer resort on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. It's located about 30 km from the more widely known city of Varna. It was constructed as a holiday resort in the 1960s, which explains its uniform architectural style. The town offers an excellent 5-km beach with very fine sand and warm, clean water. Over 40 modern hotels and pensions can accommodate more than 20,000 guests. Albena is also home to the biggest spa and wellness centre on the Bulgarian coast, using the local mineral water of 30oC. The tourist season lasts from May to October.
