About Randers
Randers is the only Danish natural river port, located on the Guden River. The town was established in the 12th Century, but it's believed that much earlier the region was home to a number of Viking settlements. Today, Randers is often called Crown Jutland, most probably due to the fact that the royal family owns large estates in the area. The town is also home to Northern Europe's largest artificial rainforest, with over 350 types of plants and 175 animal species from three different continents. Visitors can also see the Elvis Presley Museum, the only institution of its kind outside of the United States.
