About Mulhouse
Situated in the Eastern part of France, close to the borders with Germany and Switzerland, Mulhouse is the second largest town in Alsace. Perhaps best known for its automobile industry, the city is historically divided into an upper and a lower part. The former is a former residence of the Teutonic Knights while the latter area is concentrated around the Place de la Reunion, a pedestrian area, once the quarter of merchants and craftsmen. Particularly worth seeing here is the 16th-Century Town Hall, a magnificent Renaissance-style Palace adorned with paintings representing the vices and the virtues.
