About Haro
Haro lies in the La Rioja province in the north of Spain. It's famous primarily for its excellent red wine, which is thought to be among the best in the world. Every summer, it hosts the Haro Wine Festival, which involves various drinking competitions as well as the famous Batalla de Vino, a wine battle in which participants shoot wine out of water pistols. All year round, the town's numerous wine cellars offer guided tours combined with wine and olive oil tastings. The region's splendid mild Mediterranean climate makes it the perfect spot for a holiday at any time of the year.
