About Harrogate
The first settlement was the historic town of Knaresborough. The main point of interested, which attracted the inhabitants in the past, and thousands of tourists today are the mineral springs for water, rich in iron and sulphur. The villages High Harrogate and Low Harrogate were two separate administrative units, but because of the increased flow of people because of the spas, they were united into a city.
