Museum District
There are lots of great museums in Vienna. You will find most of them along Museumstrasse - the street that is located close to the historic city centre. The Museum of Natural History is one of the most interesting. It features great exhibits like the skeletons of dinosaurs, the tools from the prehistoric period of the human civilisation and lots of archeologic artifacts. The other worth recommending museum is Kunsthistorisches Museum. It has a great collection of masterpieces created by Flemish and German painters like: Pieter Breugel, Jan Vermeer, Jan van Eyck, Rembrandt, Hans Holbein and Albrecht Duerer. Moreover Kunsthistorisches Museum boasts of the great exhibits coming from ancient Greece and Rome as well as from the Middle East and Egypt. Then there is also a marvellous collection of sculptures to admire. In Albertina Museum located in the vicinity of Hofburg Palace you may see the astonishing graphics painted by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Albrecht Duerer and Rubens. There are also other worth visiting museums located in the other parts of Vienna. Two of them: The Museum of Medieval and Baroque Art and The Art Gallery of XIX and XX century are located in the Belvedere Park, whereas The Museum of Ornamental Art is just a step away from the Stadtpark.
