Grabben Strasse
Graben Strasse is a pedestrian zone situated in the historic city centre of Vienna between Stephansplatz and Hofburg. Thus you may easily reach all landmarks on foot. On Graben Strasse you may see an interesting Baroque column called Pestsäule. It was erected in 1679 to commemorate people who died in plague epidemic. In addition to that there are a lot of fashionable shops, galleries and auction houses in the vicinity of Graben Strasse. Am Hof is the largest square in Vienna. The square is also former Roman camp site and medieval jousting tournaments venue. Major attractions of Am Hof are: Märiensaule, Markleinisches Haus, Burgerliche Zeughaus and Collalto Palace. Rudolfsplatz is located close to Schottenring and Danube channel. Jewish quarter is situated nearby. Other attractions include: Maria am Gestade church, Ruprechtskirche, Altes Rathaus, Clocks Museum and Toys Museum.
