Schotten Ring
Schotten Ring is an area situated between the historic city centre and Alsergrund. One of the main objects located by the Schotten Ring is stock exchange (Börse). It was built in 1877 according to the project designed by Theophil Hansen. After the Second World War the Austrian Stock Exchange was in a poor condition. Fortunately the introduction of the electronic trading system PATS caused the revival on the Vienna market. At present it is a fully modern and technologically advanced stock exchange. Another attractions in Schotten Ring are: Sigmund Freud Park and Ringturm.
