Etterbeek has a prime location, close to both the centre and the forêt de Soignes, The commune is criss-crossed by prestigious boulevards such as the boulevard Louis Schmidt and boulevard Saint-Michel which connect to the European road network. Etterbeek also offers great shopping opportunities, for example in centres of bustling commercial activity such as "La Chasse", the rue de Tongres and Place Jourdan where a well-known market is held.
