Centar
Centar is a district situated in the city centre of Zagreb. That’s why it’s often chosen by tourists as well as business travellers. All of the landmarks are situated nearby, and you can reach most of them on foot. The biggest attractions are the Cathedral, St. Mark’s Church, St. Francis’ Church, St. Catherine’s Church, as well as several interesting museums including the Zagreb City Museum, the Museum of Natural History and the Croatian History Museum. In this area, you should also see the Archbishop’s Palace, St. Mark’s Square, the Dolac Market, Holy Mary’s Column, Lotrscak Tower, the Stone Gate, the statue of Ban Josip Jelacic and the Komedija Theatre. The Centar area is located relatively close to the main railway station and the district of Donji Grad. All of the other quarters can be reached by means of the public transportation system.
