Prague Castle
The royal part of Prague with the famous castle (Hrad), surrounded by peaceful gardens. The castle is opened for visitors, although some parts of it are not accessible for the ordinary tourists. Apart from it, you should see the St. Vit’s cathedral, Belvedere and Royal Palace. One of the most unique part of Hradcany is Golden Street (Zlata Ulica). The name of the street comes from the goldsmiths who used to reside here as well as some famous painters and writers like Franz Kafka or Jaroslav Seifert. Then it is a good idea to visit the Sternberk Palace with its collection of European art. The last, but not least interesting part of Hradcany is Strachov cloister and old libraries. The whole district is located on the hill and thus this is a good viewing point with wonderful Prague panorama.
