Prague 6: Strachov
Strahov is a district situated 2 km west of the city centre. It is famous for a huge stadium which was a venue of the biggest rock concert ever held in Europe. Another attraction is Strahov monastery. It was built in 1143 and inhabited by Premonstratensians. Unfortunately such accidents like: fire, religious wars and Communists infiltration contributed to the closure of this unique monastery. Neverthless times have changed and the monastery is still playing its important role and what is more surprising opened for visitors.
