Mitte & Unter den Linden
Commercial and residential district northwards from Tiergarten and city centre. There are few attractions in Berlin Mitte. One of the most interesting building is town hall (Rathaus). Jewish cemetery Weissensee is also worth seeing. There used to be Jewish neighbourhood around Oranienburgstrasse. Most of Jews institutions were located there. Now the main attraction is New Synagogue that is accompanied by Centrum Judaicum. On Lindenstrasse tourists should visit Jewish Museum that was designed by Daniel Libeskind. Polish-born architect is now the main designer of new WTC in the city of New York.
