Spandau
Spandau is a district situated in the westernmost part of Berlin. Nevertheless it is greatly linked with all parts of Berlin. The most interesting hotspots in this area are: Spandau Citadel and a medieval St. Nikolai Church. It is also important to mention that after the end of World War II some Nazi criminals were imprisoned in local jail, before they took part in the Nürnberg Trails. For many years Spandau was a quarter situated in British Occupation Zone until it became an important part of West Berlin.
