Maxvorstadt is a district situated north of the historic city centre and the main railway station. The biggest attractions of this area are museums: Alte Pinakothek, Neue Pinakothek, Pinakothek der Moderne, Mineralogische Staatssammlung, Lenbachhaus, Glypothek, Staatliche Antikensammlung. You can also visit one of the theatres: Münchener Volkstheater, Theater im Karlshof and Theater für Kinder. Another landmark is a square called Königsplatz and Propyläen. From Maxvorstadt you can reach all parts of Munich by undeground, bus or tram.
