Giesing - Haid
Both Giesing and Haid (also named Haidhausen) are fashionable residential districts situated very close to the city centre of Munich. This area includes so-called Museuminsel (the island of museums). There you may visit the most interesting museums in Munich including Deutsches Museum and Forum der Technik IMAX, while on the neighbouring Praterinsel it is possible to see Alpines Museum. Another attractions in Haidhausen are: Gasteig, Müllersches Volksbad and Maximilianeum as well as two churches: St. Johannes and St. Wolfgang Kirche.
