Pedious Areos (Field of Mars) is a park that was created in the beginning of the previous century in the centre of Athens to commemorate the heroes of the liberation struggle. At present it is a popular recreation centre and festival scene. Lofos Strefi is the district situated by the park that is famous for vibrant nightlife and nice restaurants.
