Vizivaros
Hungary’s most powerful and rich people live in District II’s Rózsadomb villa section, in the southern part of Hármashatár-hegy, some 100 meters above the Danube level. The oldest section of the district is Víziváros which has some monumental buildings. The Baroque-style building on the corner of Bécsi út 30 and Lajos utca 31 is a run-down house and will be for sale soon. The idea of its huge shopping mall was conceived in 1995 and its second phase continued till 2000. In addition, a 4,000 sq m park was built on the old Ganz industrial site, which was completed in March 2001, where were located not only trees and flowers but a museum on the corner of Kis Rókus and Ezredes utca.
