District III
District III consists of two major quarters: Obuda and Békásmegyer. Both of them are located north of the city centre. They were united with Buda and Pest in 1873 and since then they have been within city limits. Obuda is famous for Roman ruins like for example Aquincum or Military Amphitheatre. The small island called Óbudai-sziget is a venue of music and cultural festival called Sziget.
