Marino - Drumcondra
Marino is another Dublin suburb situated in the north part of the town. The district was built during twenties and thirties in the 20th Century. At present the biggest tourist attraction of the neighbourhood is the Marino Casino that was constructed in Irish neo-classical style. The author of the design was Sir William Chambers and this great building was meant for the Earl of Charlemont James Caulfeild. Inside the casino you will find sixteen nicely furnished chambers. Drumcondra is an elegant residential district in the northern part of Dublin. The area is famous for the Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern who was born here. During a stay in Drumcondra you have to visit Croke Park which is one of the greatest stadiums in Europe.
