Drimnagh is a residential neighbourhood situated in the southwestern part of Dublin. The unique name of the district comes from the Irish language and means „ridged lands.” The biggest landmark of the area is the famous Drimnagh Castle that was built in the Middle Ages. The neighbourhood is also linked with many famous Irish personalities like: actors Emmet Bergin, Patrick Bergen, Mick Nolan and Gabriel Byrne, musicians Loretta O'Connor, Helen Jordan, Patricia Cahill, Sean Keane, Sean Potts, and people involved with sports as Brian Kerr, Kevin Moran, Jimmy Holmes and Eamonn Coghlan.
