Oud West (Old West) Isn’t the best place to wander at night, but during the day it becomes quite lively. In case you would like to reveal the dazzling regional diversity, which is typical for the area, take a walk down Kinkerstraat, JanPieter Heijestraat or any of the other major streets. Greek cafes, Turkish delis and Ethiopian restaurants – all of them can be found here, living in perfect harmony. Closest to the centre, the Oud West is far from the adjacent Jordaan. The area has a gritty urban energy, which cannot be found in the centre of the city.
