La Barceloneta
La Barceloneta is located south of the city centre directly by the sea. It is not a wealthy district. The streets are very narrow and many houses are in shabby condition. Nevertheless there are few good restaurants where you can eat traditional local specialities. The other attractions are: aquarium and park. Apart from it the urban infrastructure includes famous hospital called del Mar and underground station. Ramblas is only 15 minutes walk from here.
