Southwark is situated in the city centre of London on the south bank of the river Thames. Two main attractions of the area are: Globe Theatre and Tate Modern Gallery. You should also see: Winchester Palace, The Golden Hinde at St Mary Overie dock, Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret as well as Borough Market.
