Glasgow Green
Glasgow Green is the oldest park situated very close to the city centre on the northern bank of river Clyde. The beginnings of the park are dated back to the Middle Ages. However for some time it was a grazing field. The area was also used by fishermen to dry their nets. Nowadays the most interesting attractions are: Nelson monument, St. Andrew's Suspension Bridge, William Collins fountain, People's Palace and Winter Gardens. In addition to that close to Glasgow Green you will find the Cathedral and St. Mungo’s Museum.
