Top Sights and Attractions in Nice

The south of France is a particularly charming and picturesque region and Nice – the heart of the French Riviera is an exceptionally attractive city. Large numbers of tourists stroll along the most famous boulevard called Promenade des Anglais, admiring the beaches and the sea on the one side, occasionally stopping to shop on the other. They visit the oldest district – Vieux Nice with a multitude of boutiques, cafes and other tourist attractions lining the narrow meandering streets. It's impossible to see all that Nice has to offer during one stay, but one of the landmarks that should not be missed is the Chapelle du Rosaire (Chapel of the Rosary) designed by Matisse towards the end of his life. The artist himself said: “Despite its imperfections I think it is my masterpiece…the result of a lifetime devoted to the search for truth.”
