Cinemas in Vienna

Vienna is well served by numerous cinemas, and more are being built every year, especially Megaplexes. Cinemas are to be found along Mariehilfer Strasse and in most shopping malls. If you wish to watch a film in style, there are magnificent movie theatres in the city, which show many interesting flicks besides Hollywood blockbusters. The majority of foreign films in Austria are dubbed into German. A few cinemas in Vienna, however, show movies in English or in their original language, with or without subtitles, but German speaking cinema-goers will generally have a wider choice. Metro Kino is commonly considered as one of the best cinemas in Vienna, along with Burg Kino and Top Kino.
