Concert Halls in Venice

Whereas rock concerts rarely take place in Venice and feature lesser-known artists, the classical music and opera scenes are flourishing here. For centuries, Venice has had a rich tradition of classical music. Each day brings the opportunity for music lovers to attend a concert at one of the city’s many venues. Interestingly, Venetian grand buildings, such as churches, palaces and scuoli also tend to serve as concert halls for major performances. The programmes include pieces by all renowned composers, both Italian and international, yet special attention is given to works from Vivaldi, who happens to be Venice’s most beloved composer. If jazz is your passion, there are a number of great clubs that are sure to suit your style.
