Markets in Brussels

Brussels is well-known for its numerous outdoor flea markets. On the Rue Haute and Rue Blaes, you’ll find interesting shops offering a wide selection of precious antique furniture, glassware and jewellery. The biggest flea market in Brussels is held every morning on Place du Jeu de Balle. There are also countless food markets where you can buy fresh organic fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese and other homemade delicacies. Don't miss the picturesque Bloemenmarkt. Every day in the vast area of Grand Place, there are vendors selling flowers, seeds and exotic plants, such as lemon or mandarin trees. In this area, there’s also a traditional annual Christmas Market held from December 3rd to the very end of the year, where you can find original handmade Christmas decorations and warm yourself up with a steaming mug of traditional mulled wine (Gluehwein).
