Visas to Britain

Before you travel to United Kingdom, find out about visa restrictions. The nationals of the European Union countries do not require a visa to travel or work in Britain. However citizens of most countries outside the EU should apply for a visa. There are several types of visas depending on the duration and purpouse of your stay. Before sending or bringing in your application, contact the nearest Consulate or Embassy to verify your information about the required documents and the visa fee.


Who Requires a Visa

  • Great Britain is a EU member country and all nationals of EU member countries are allowed to live and work in Britain without a visa. On entering the country they should present a valid national ID card. 
  • Individuals married to EU nationals may not require a visa if they arrive with their spouses in Great Britain.
