The French educational system is respected for its permanence of sound principles. There is a significant growth in the number of foreign students in France and this increase is continuing in recent years. Because less and less children are being born in France and more and more immigrants move to the country, the ratio of foreign students in relation to the native students is changing.


What and where to study in France
French educational system is world renowned for theology, medicine, liberal arts studies and fashion and design. The best place to study medicine is the National Academy of Medicine – Paris. The Sorbonne is the best place for liberal arts education. As far as international business management, finance and accounting are concerned, the best places to study are the Bordeaux Business School and the University of Montpellier. The latter also has a school of theology with long traditions. Other renowned places to study are the University Catalogue de Loudest in Angers, The University of Notre Dame in Paris and the University of Montpellier. Ecolés de Conde in Paris and Lyon offer excellent opportunities to study design and fashion.

Foreign students in France
The outstanding quality of the French higher education institutions makes France one of the most attractive countries for foreign students. In France, no distinction is made between the French nationals and the international students. The degrees are identical, the admission fees and requirements are one and the same as well. Except in Paris, university housing will not pose a problem. In Paris, foreign students choose private accommodation in the city because university housing is reserved for the government scholarship holders mainly. There are specific organizations which offer assistance and advice to foreign students.

Internships in France 
Internships in France present a real employment opportunity for students. Specific companies have different criteria and have detailed objectives. 60 percent of all interns in France work in the field of technology, 20 percent in trade and marketing and another 20 percent in services – finance, human resources, communication etc.
