Students in Britain

World class universities and cutting edge research centres are among the highlights of studying in Britain. Schools such as Oxford, Cambridge and the more recently founded London School of Economics are places of intellectual excellence both in the sciences and in the humanities and are correspondingly selective as to their privileged student body. But fear not, even if you're not a Rhodes or Fulbright scholar destined for academic stardom there are many other superb options to choose from.

What and where to study in Britain

Even though the US has surpassed Britain's reputation as the place for Ph.D. Studies, American schools such as Harvard and Yale still yield pride of place to Oxford and Cambridge as probably the best universities in the English speaking world offering the finest in undergraduate education. The London School of Economics as its name suggests is an excellent place to pursue a degree in the Social Sciences. All three universities have played a profound role in the development of Western intellectual thought and thus have influenced both the direction and achievement of the entire world. Other lesser known yet first class institutions are the University of Leeds, University of Bristol, European Business School London, Imperial College London, and the University of the Arts London.
