Castles in France
When you visit France you will immediately understand why it is called the country of a thousand castles. The myriad of chateaux from all historical epochs; charming Medieval castles, opulent Renaissance castles and many more are all sights not to be missed. During the Renaissance, the kings of France chose Loire Valley, commonly referred to as the Garden of France, as their favourite location and that's where they ordered numerous castles to be built. Today, the castles testify to the country’s great architectural and artistic traditions.
