The collection was later enriched by buses dating from more recent times, and today the museum holds a total of 25 buses. MUSA's fleet illustrates the development of the Dutch city and regional buses from the 1930s to the 80s. The museum displays buses from renowned Dutch transport companies, and offers some activities, such as participation in public transport events, or giving rides to visitors. Amsterdam Tulip Museum
Town: Amsterdam
Address: Prinsengracht 112

The Amsterdam Tulip Musuem provides an interesting showcase of the “world's most dangerous flower,” which has, according to a legend, driven Sultans and the wealthy to madness and bankruptcy. Before tulips became known as garden flowers planted in neat flower beds, they grew in the wilderness of central Asia, on the territory where China and Tibet meet Russia and Afghanistan. The harsh terrain was isolated from civilisation by the Tien Shan and the Pamir mountains. The first tulip buffs, however, were not Dutchmen, but the Ottoman Empire rulers, who cultivated the flower in their lavish Istanbul palaces. Suleymen the Magnificent possessed an exclusive sanctum planted with huge amounts of tulips. The 17th-century Dutch divided their tulips into three categories: Rosen, Violetten and the Bizarden bulbs, coloured red, purple or brown on yellow, respectively. However, Holland's most prized tulips were the multicoloured 'broken' tulips, representing a pattern of pure white or yellow petals
