Located at 7 Rond Point des Champs Elysées, the Hôtel Dassault was erected in 1844. The site underwent a massive reconstruction in 1952 when Marcel Dassault purchased the building. A centre dedicated to art, and a unique place in Europe, the neo-classical building has been renovated by star architect Jean Michel Wilmotte to showcase art in all its forms. Since August 2002, the centre has re-opened the bookstore, and has created a gallery to display Artcurial limited editions. There are also offices for the auctioneers Artcurial Briest Poulain le Fur. For many, Artcurial means one of the top art bookstores worldwide. Ever since its inception in 1975, Artcurial has gained a reputation as a leading specialist art book store. This gallery is situated on Place Rossetti, which is one of the most thriving parts of the Old Town and the centre of artistic life. In this small private atelier you will find interesting landscapes and still life paintings. All of these pictures are bustling with vibrant colours and just opposite the entrance there is an impressively large canvas of a bullfight.

The Gallery Claude-Bernard, founded in 1957 by the current director, Claude Bernard, is located at 7-9, street of Beaux Arts in Paris, close to the National School of Beaux Arts. Since its inception, the Gallery has specialized in contemporary sculpture, and has represented contemporary fine art. The site annually organises an average of six exhibitions of living artists as well as displays of well-known artistic figures, such as Morandi, Giacometti, Bonnard or Bacon. The Gallery regularly displays tables, allowing visitors to rediscover works of preceding expositions. Each exhibition is also accompanied by illustrated catalogues. The catalogues' list is available upon request. The Gallery also takes part in international art fairs and often lends works for exhibitions in other museums.

Daniel Templon Gallery, established in 1966, is known for promoting contemporary European and American artists. At first, the gallery opened in rue de Seine on the left bank in 1966, but in 1972, it moved to its current location, rue Beaubourg, a couple of blocks away from Centre Georges Pompidou. Daniel Templon established his reputation of one of the best French art dealers by displaying avant-garde French artists, such as Ben, Boltanski, Journiac, Rancillac, Raynaud and Kirili, as well as conceptual artists, including Kossuth, and minimalist artists, featuring Carl Andre, Sol Lewitt and Dan Flavin. The 1970s were largely devoted to the promotion of American art by Frank Stella, Wilhem de Kooning and Warhol. Throughout his career Templon has always maintained strong ties to the United States. This small old-town gallery displays an interesting collection of Haïtian arts and crafts. There are bright colourful paintings with exotic motifs and mirrors adorned with black metal crabs and turtles. In front of the gallery there is an impressive metre-high sculpture in the shape of a tree. All exhibits there are hand-made originals and some of the them are available for purchase .

This little gallery situated in the heart of the Old Town is focused entirely on contemporary art. Each exhibition is devoted to a single young and up-and-coming talented artist for whom it is often the first chance to show his or her works to a larger public. In the neighbourhood there are two another municipal centres of art: Galerie du Château and Galerie Renoir.
