The Alexandra Irigoyen Art Gallery is situated on Claudio Coello, a street known as one of the major centres of culture and art in the Spanish capital. In close proximity there are other modern galleries like Paz Feliz and Guillermo de Osma, which provides a perfect opportunity for an art tour if you fall for the contemporary art. In the gallery nearly all branches of graphic art are represented, from video and photography to painting and drawing. Alexandra Irigoyen boasts an imposing list of artists whose works have been displayed. Figures like the sculptors Javier Martinez Perez and Emilio Cobertera along with the artists Celeste Maia, Charlotte Adde and Carolina Veramendi stand out. In the last couple of years, the gallery has been an active participant in a number of international contemporary art fairs, such as Art Madrid and Art Karlsruhe.

The Alvaro Alcazar Art Gallery is one of the newest institutions of this type in the Spanish capital as it first opened its doors to the public in September 2006. It is member of the Arte Madrid Association and participates actively in art fairs like ARCO and the Foto Espana Festival. The gallery has chosen as its objective to popularise and support artists, photographers and sculptors from different generations and branches of contemporary art. The most prominent artists whose works have been displayed in Alvaro Alcazar include Eduardo Arroyo, Darrio Basso, Luis Canelo, Fernando Prats and dozens of other authors from Spain, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

The Angel Romero Art Gallery, which was founded in February 1985, lies in the heart of Madrid, just steps away from such centres of world art as the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums. From the very beginning, the gallery has always attempted to popularise contemporary art in its various forms both in Spain and abroad. The Arnes & Ropke Art Gallery was established in 1998 and works in close collaboration with the Stephan Ropke Gallery in Cologne, Germany. It is located in proximity to dozens of other galleries in the art district of Madrid. In the gallery many forms of contemporary art are presented -- from the traditional painting and sculpture to modern videos, installation and technology. The emphasis falls on the relationship between abstract and figurative art. Arnes & Ropke gives the visitors the opportunity to get to know more about the works of both recognised and less-known but talented international artists. The list of artists represented in the gallery contains names like Eduardo Chillida, David Hockney, Cveto Marsic, Apostolos Palavrakis and many more.

The Astarte Art Gallery opened its doors to the public in 1994 with the ambitious aim to promote and popularise all forms of contemporary art. It pays special attention to supporting young talented artists and gives them the chance to address a wider public through an exchange of artists and exhibitions with diverse Spanish and international art institutions. The priorities of the gallery are painting and sculpture, but it also shows interest in modern art media like video and installation. Some of the names whose works have been presented here are Manuel Vilchez, Almudena Fernandez Farina, Rosa Munoz, Maria Aranguren, Roberto Diez and Vicky Herreros. Participation in international contemporary art fairs is also among the priorities of Astarte.

Capa Esculturas is a gallery dedicated to contemporary plastic arts where works of many contemporary sculptors can be seen and bought. Apart from this location, Capa Esculturas has opened its doors for visitors in Brussels as well. The exhibits in the gallery are created by young artists in very diverse styles, from realism through constructivism to abstraction. Visitors can buy original sculptures and compositions or whole series. The gallery has its own permanent exhibition featuring works by Jose Manuel Bouzas, Clara Carvajal, Oscar Alvarino, Ignacio Asenjo and Gil Fernandez. In addition, many temporary exhibitions are held, presenting the creations of great talents like Natalia Pintado or Pablo de Arriba.

The Edurne Gallery was created by Margarita de Lucas and Antonio de Navascues on March 11, 1964. It is situated in the heart of artistic and cultural activity in Madrid, right next to the Moriarty gallery. The owners of the gallery have always attempted to support and promote emerging artists and contemporary art. The Elba Benitez Gallery was founded in 1990 and lies in the heart of Madrid, just next to the Romantic Museum. It has concentrated its activity on displaying and promoting contemporary art in all forms through the works of both Spanish and foreign artists. The exhibitions feature paintings, photography, video, sculptures and installation by young talented artists, such as Ana Prada, Cristina Iglesias, Fernanda Fragateiro, Beatriz Milhazes and many others.
