There is no more beautiful sight and smell than a sea of lavender growing over a clifftop. Take this tour and experience a purple lavender ocean in the mountains of Provence. Visit the villages of Gordes, Sault and Coustellet.
This tour is seasonal and operates from June through to August only.
cover a traditional open market everyday in a different village of Provence and appreciate its stalls which present a shimmering palette of fruits and vegetables... Drive along a picturesque road through wild lavender fields to Sault, lavender capital or the Claparedes plateau (photo stops).
Free time and lunch stop in Sault or Roussillon to wander and do shopping in lavender shops. You will appreciate and enjoy the lavender essences, flowers, honey...
You then drive to Coustellet across wild lavender fields and small picturesque villages including St Jean, Lioux and Gordes. Visit Gordes, a village in Luberon and one of the most beautiful villages in France as completely made with dry stones.
Photo stop at the Senanque Abbey, cistercian monument surrounded by a wonderful lavender field (blooming period - mid June to mid July). Visit the Lavender Museum in Coustellet, where you'll soon know everything about lavender from the informative video, exhibition and demonstration of distillation.
