TOUR DESCRIPTION
Travel to the spa town of Tivoli where the ancient Romans relaxed and renaissance nobility played in the summer. You can imagine the magnificence of their buildings and gardens as you wander through Emperor Hadrian's Villa Adriana, and Villa D'Este, a spectacular renaissance palace.

This tour is seasonal and operates from March to October only.
At the foot of the Tiburtini hills, which dominate the vast quarries of travertine marble, and are host to the springs bringing sulfurous waters to the spa town of Bagni di Tivoli, you will first stop to visit Villa of the Emperor Hadrian (or Villa Adriana in Italian)

The ruins can only hint at the grandeur and beauty of this Villa which the Emperor Hadrian had built to remind him of the monuments and sites he had admired during his travels in the East.

Continue to the magnificent Villa D'Este, one of the most beautiful residences of the Renaissance. Listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, it is a masterpiece of Italian architecture and especially garden design. Discover Villa D'Este countless fountains, set in the heart of magnificent Italian style gardens, create a delightfully graceful symphony of carved stone, shade, sunlight and water.
