The visit will begin in the Alhambra, the construction of which began by the founder of the Nasrid Dynasty, Mohammed Ibn Alhamar, in the XI Century on the red hill known as Assabika, which overlooks Granada.First the fortress or Alcazaba was built, and subsequently, the Royal Palace and the highest part of the Alhambra which became the court member residence. Later Charles V ordered the construction of a palace within the same grounds.
You will visit the most important halls and courtyards of the Alhambra including the fortress of Alcazaba, Maxuar Palace, the Serrallo, the Patio of los Arrayanes (Myrtle Courtyard), the Hall of la Barca, the Salon of the Embajadores (Ambassadors Hall), the Peinador de la Reina, Patio de los Leones (Lions Courtyard), the Hall of the Abencerrajes - the scene of a tragic legend; the Royal Baths, Lindaraja, the Gardens of the Partal and the Palace of Charles V.
Continue to the Generalife, situated next to the Alhambra, it was a place of leisure and recreation for the Moorish Kings of Granada. Its beautiful gardens stand out with their abundant and varied flora and stunning water features, described in one poem as "water that cries". The visit includes two further courtyards the Patio de la Acequia and the Patio de la Sultana.
