arture from A Coruna towards Padron by motorway. A medieval town with an important tradition related to the arrival of the apostle St. James to the Galician coast, Padron is a land of poets and writers such as: Rosalia de Castro, Rodrigo de Padron and Camilo Jose Cela.

Connected to Padron by a medieval bridge over the Ulla River is Pontescures, which at the same time marks the border between A Coruna and Pontevedra provinces.

Enjoy a stop at Carril, located in front of the Cortegada Island, this small fishing town is famous because of its shellfish.

Continue to Vilagarcia de Arousa, a summer resort with a picturesque harbor, very important since medieval times, before continuing to Cambados and Fefinanes Palace , manor house and church dating from the 16th Century. It is also called the "Capital of the Albarino wine" due to the several wine cellars located in this area.

O'Grove is known as "The Paradise of the Shellfish" because of the high quality of its seafood. A small bridge connects the Island A Toxa from the fishing village O'Grove. It has been a luxurious spa and tourist resort since the 19th century, and nowadays has a gambling casino, golf course and more.

Lanzada has a beach more than 3 kilometers long which was the origin of many rites and legends. Medieval church and remains of a medieval tower exist here.

A highly recommended visit to Combarro is next, due its medieval streets, granaries and stone crosses.

The last stop will be Pontevedra, a small province capital surrounded by the Lerez River. Enjoy a walking tour through the old city and visit to the main monuments.
