TOUR DESCRIPTION
Intriguing tales of mysterious shipwrecks have lured many from far and wide to the notorious "Coast of Death". Do not be deterred by the ominous name, for it is extraordinarily beautiful with tiny villages perched high in the cliffs of Cape Finisterre.
This tour is seasonal and operates from mid July to mid September only.
Departure from A Coruna towards Noia by motorway. A beautiful fishing town with medieval mansions, Romanesque churches and one of the oldest fishing harbor in the region. Visit to Santa Maria church with its extraordinary collection of guild's grave-stones.

Stop in Muros, a small fishing town which has still medieval traces around its harbor. It shows a traditional architecture, made in granite stone, and arcades in most of its streets.

Next stop is Carnota, one of the biggest stone granary and the longest beach in the region. El Pindo is a small fishing village at the bottom of the Pindo Mountain.

Continue to Corcubion and Cee which are small commercial and fishing towns. This is a former whale fishing factories center.

Finisterre was named by the Romans "Finis terrae" which means the End of the world because of its location at the very west of the Iberian Peninsula. The Romanesque church, dated from the 12th century and its old harbor are related to the Pilgrimages to Saint James.

Stop at Cape Finisterre with its impressive views from the lighthouse all over the Atlantic Ocean. This is the heart of the Coast of Death.

Final stop in Vimianzo. At the end of the Middle Ages the Moscoso and Altamira earls became the most powerful landlords in the northern Galicia. They built a castle in the 15th century which is now used as a handicraft exhibition center.
