HOTEL DESCRIPTION
The Palais de L`Isle, a former prison, is one of the interesting landmarks of Annecy. It is located on an island in the middle of the main canal (Thiou Canal). During the 12th century this former fortified house was the center of the first domain held by the De L`Isle family. Later became the residence of the Monthoux family. In 1355 it became a minting workshop and the Revolutionary Authorities turned it into the City Prison in 1864. Today the hotel has the benefit of air-conditioned rooms and superior rooms available on request. All bedrooms have private bath and WC, cable TV, minibar, hairdyer.
